Valentine's Vanilla Cookie Fat Bombs
these fat bombs are THE literal BOMB. You will be happy to know that eating them...will not make you fat.
If you have not caught on yet, good fats are necessary as well as critical for brain, hormone, and holistic health. Not only for losing weight but pressing the "satiety brake" naturally when you eat.
Have you ever felt totally out of control when you start to eat. It's like anything edible is going down the hatch, and anything "un-edible" is up for debate."Satiety" is natures way of telling your body, "It's okay to stop eating now." You feel satisfied and can stop eating.
Good fat, when eaten in proportion to protein and carbs does this excellently! It took me a long time with being okay with eating fat...now I eat it liberally and can stop eating when I feel satisfied.
Enter "Fat Bombs" (or reindeer turds as I like to call them). These little guys are packed with monounsaturated fats (almonds) and MCT's (coconut oil). Both of which help with weight control, provide a quick source of energy, and help suppress appetite.
These are great to keep in the refrigerator for a pre-workout snack, breakfast, or mid afternoon snack!
Yields: Aprox. 19 Bombs
2 C Almonds (Preferably raw & unsalted)
5 Dates Reconstituted with water
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1 T Cinnamon
1 tsp Raw Honey (Optional)
1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips (Optional)
1.) Soak prunes in water until swollen
2.) Add prunes, + 2-3T of its water
3.) Add all other ingredients
4.) Use a high powered blender or food processor start on medium speed until well ground. Then scoop mixture from the sides and pulse until it reaches a consistency you desire. (We like ours on the chunkier side)
5.) Scoop tablespoon size balls, and roll. If you decide to add chocolate chips, do so before you roll. Refrigerate or freeze for 1 hour, and enjoy! Store in refrigerator or freezer. The perfect coffee treat! Enjoy your Reindeer Turds... I mean Fat Bombs
