Chasing After Littles & Big Dreams

Have you ever noticed that it's easier to shrink back from dreams instead of perusing them? Predictable is much more comfortable. Doing the minimum is much more easy verses reaching for the maximum.

Have you ever owned your own business?  Do you know what it feels like to have knowledge of a great product or service to find that no one else understands the greatness of what you have to offer? Have you ever been able to practically smell the leather of that new car you've been saving for, or heard your imagainary fans screaming for an encore performance, or envisioned the ecstatic joy of satisfied customers faces after they read your still unpublished children's book to their smiling children?

I have news for you, no one cares as much about your dreams, products or services as much as you do. So what now?

There are two choices to this reality. Shrink back at the fear of rejection or failure OR throw yourself into the work that is deeply preprogramed into who you are. I've found that this does not necessarily get easier, because we're faced with these two choices everyday. We can choose to make that call, take that speaking gig, write the book proposal, introduce ourself to the stranger standing next to you us line? Or we can chose to stay silent.

I'm challenged to continue to throw myself fully into the work that God has put inside me. Every time I take a small step towards the God dream in my heart I choose faith over fear. I am choosing to honor Him, who put those desires inside me if the first place. With this attitude nothing that I do will be a waste of time or effort. Whew! Some days that's harder to believe than others, but it's all the more chance for my faith muscle to grow.

Every time I take a small step towards the God dream in my heart I choose faith over fear.

Don't hold back! Go confidently in the direction of your dreams today.

"With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don't hold back (italics added). Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort." 1 Corinthians 15:58

What is your dream? What step can you take today to make it happen?

Sincerely,

Brooke
